Tatjana Matić was born on July 2, 1972 in Belgrade, where she finished elementary and high school. She graduated from the Faculty of Philology, University of Belgrade, as the professor of Serbian Language and Literature.
In July, 2012, she was appointed State Secretary of the Ministry of Foreign and Internal Trade and Telecommunications.
During 2007 – 2012 she was Secretary of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. At the same time, she oversaw SPO assistance programmes as IPA officer. Apart from assisting the minister in managing human, financial and other resources, she coordinated the work of internal units of the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy. In addition, she was member of the Joint Committee for preparation of the Strategic Coherence Framework and member of the Project Implementation Unit of the Action Plan for Implementation of State Administration Reform in the Republic of Serbia from 2009 to 2012. She was named the Project Administrator for DILS project – Delivery of Improved Local Services. As IPA officer for assistance programmes and head of the body responsible for priority axes/measures at the Ministry of Labour and Social Policy, in preparation of decentralized management system of EU funds, she was responsible for:
- · Presentation, management and supervision of IPA framework activities
- · Management of activities of IPA unit under decentralized management system of EU funds
- Cross-department cooperation function of the officer in charge of the Declaration on Management
From 2005 to 2007, she was Director of the Coordination Body for municipalities Preševo, Bujanovac and Medveđa, where she was in charge of the management and work coordination of the Service.
From 2004 to 2005 she was Chief of Staff of the Coordination Centre of Serbia and Montenegro and the Republic of Serbia for Kosovo and Metohija, in charge of the work organization and coordination, protocol and international cooperation.
From 2002 – 2004 she was Assistant chief of staff of the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Serbia and Coordination Centre of the Federal Republic of Yugoslavia (SRY) and Republic of Serbia for Kosovo and Metohija.
From December, 2001 to September, 2002, she was Marketing Manager of Belgrade-based William Grants – MPS Group Company.
From February to November, 2001, she was Assistant manager of the Panasonic Serbia Company.
March – July, 2010 Training of Trainers Programme for IPA III and IV components; EU-funded project – “Project Preparation and TA Facility to Reinforce Administrative Capacity in Serbia” – attended 4 modules: Project Generation – Major Project; Financial Management; Procurement Rules; Human Resource Development Operational Programme – management and implementation
